New Monthly Feature! Pinspired!

We have a brand new monthly feature for you!
Each month a talented Design Team Member will choose a project on our Scor-Pal Pinterest board and get "Pinspired" by it!
They will update it, tweak it a little if they like, and share the tutorial here for you!

This month we have the super creative Toni and her wine bottle holder.
She was "Pinspired" by this gorgeous creation by Crafty Carloine Creates and we hope you love her version!
We would love it if you are "Pinspired" or have been in the past by projects on our Scor-Pal Pinterest board , if you have please be sure to leave a comment below and let us know what "Pinspired" you!

I made another wine box.  Seriously, I will never again buy a wine bag!  I had a few questions about how to make this project.  The good news is that it isn't really that hard.
For this project, you will need:
  • Scor-Pal
  • Scor-Tape
  • One 11" x 12" piece of card stock
  • Six 1 1/4" x 7 3/4" pieces of card stock
  • Six 1 1/8" x 7 5/8" pieces of patterned paper
  • Paper snips
  • Hole punch
  • Pencil
  • Ribbon
  • Stamps
  • Ink
  • Embellishments as desired
Place the 11" x 12" piece of card stock with the 12" side along the fence of the Scor-Pal. Score at 2" and 10".
Rotate 90 degrees. With your 11" side along the fence of the Scor-Pal, score at 1 3/4", 3 1/2", 5 1/4", 7", 8 3/4" and 10 1/2'".
With a pencil, mark at 7/8", 2 5/8", 4 3/8", 6 1/8", 7 7/8" and 9 5/8".
Fold and burnish all of the score lines.
Trim off both 1/4" x 2" rectangles seen here.
Trim from the top down and from the bottom up 2" to the score line.  This creates 6 tabs on the top and 6 tabs on the bottom.
With Scor-Tape, adhere 6 strips of 1 1/8" x 7 5/8" designer paper to 6 strips of 1 1/4" x 7 3/4" strips of card stock.
With more Scor-Tape, adhere one strip to each scored panel on the box.
Use the pencil mark on the top 6 tabs as a guide to cut down from the center to each edge of the tab, creating triangle shaped tabs.
Punch a 1/4" hole in the center of each triangle tab.
Line the 1/4" x 8" tab with Scor-Tape.
Remove the adhesive backing and adhere tab to the inside of the opposite end panel, forming a hexagon shaped tube.
Line 5 of the bottom tabs with Scor-Tape.
Place bottle in tube at this time to support the shape of the box as you secure the bottoms tabs. Fold the tab with no Scor-Tape in first.  Then, remove adhesive backing and stick down the rest of the tabs in clockwise fashion.
Thread ribbon through the punched holes in the triangle tabs and tie a bow.
Embellish the finished wine bottle box as desired.
I stamped a simple tag with some silver cording to hand around the neck of the bottle. It can personalized for the occasion or for the recipient. The possibilities are endless for this type of project.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
