Scor-Pal and Heartfelt Creations with Diane Zechman

This week the Scor-Pal team joined the Heartfelt Creations DT to share projects combining their awesome products. For today I created an Easel Card with some UTEE flowers and a lovely HC die with matching stamps. Here's a pic of the card when "opened", with the "shutters" open as well...

And here it is closed, flat.

I used my Scor-Pal to make the Easel Card base. Directions can be found here. The background is a brick embossing folder. I also used the Stay Put Craft Mat to make my UTEE flowers. This mat is a great work surface for your inks and paints but it is also heat resistant which makes it awesome for working with hot UTEE.. or ultra thick embossing enamel (a large particle embossing powder). First I melted some UTEE in my melting pot. I didn't add much UTEE here because I was only dipping a few flowers. The flowers started out as a lighter lavender color but after dipping, they will turn a darker purple. Keep this in mind as you plan the colors for your project. The hot UTEE will turn an amber color which is normal.

These flowers have a wire to hold onto but I used a tweezers for other flowers I dipped. Do not touch the hot flowers! You can drag them on the mat to remove excess UTEE. When the excess cools, just pick it up off the mat (it doesn't stick!) and place it back into the pot to re-melt. If you aren't happy with a dipped flower, just stick it back in and dip it again.

Place the flowers onto the craft mat after dipping. The mat has a non-slip back side which keeps it in place while you are working. This is a nice feature when working with inks and hot UTEE.

Since the purple flowers have a rounded backside, I attached them to my card with a hot glue gun.

The sentiment was stamped over the same image that was used on the shutters, then punched out and popped on dimensionals. Scor-Pal and Heartfelt Creations With Lori Williams

Hi everyone, Lori here with you today.  Heartfelt and Scor-Pal have joined forces this week and WOW have there been some beautiful projects.  Today I'd like to share this treat box with you and show you how you can make your own in no time at all.

Step 1: Cut your paper 8 1/2 x 11.  Line your paper on the Scor-Pal with the 11inches on the side as shown in the picture above.  Score on the 2 1/2, 5, 7 1/2, and the 10 inch marks.

Step 2: Rotate your paper and score on the 2 1/2 line.

Step 3: Cut slits in the bottom portion up to the scored line and then cut wedges out of the flaps on three out of the four.  Be sure you leave one a solid square for the very bottom to be solid.

Step 4: Use your scor-tape and adhere to the flaps to create your box.

Step 5: Once you have your box taped together you can use your Crop-A-Dile to punch two holes on opposite sides.  This will be where you can run ribbon through to hold your box top in place.

Step 6 : Cut a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 square and score each side at 1 inch.

Step 7: Cut slits in each corner as shown above.  Use more Scor-Tape on your corners to form your top for the box.  Then decorate as desired.

Here are all the products from Heartfelt Creations I was lucky enough to get to use on this box.

Scor-Pal and Heartfelt Creations with Tya Smith

Hi there! Tya here with my take on a fun swap I was able to take part of with Scor-pal and Heartfelt Creations. I got to use some cute stamps and die cuts to make a fun beach bag with 3-d flowers on the front that are stamped and cut using the metal dies I was given. I was inspired by this bag here Let me show you what I did!

BEACH BOX IN A BAG
Supplies:
Papers are Pebbles Inc. Party Line  -you will need a 6x 10 piece and a 6 x 8 piece
Cardstock in magenta cut to 4 x8  and teal (2) 1 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch pieces
1 yd. Yellow ribbon
Border punch
Yellow Ink
Bright Pink Ink

Step 1- Take an 4x8 inch piece of cardstock and score it at 1 inch on each side
Step 2-Snip the edges as shown
Step 3-Add scor tape to the 4 corners as shown
Step 4-Tape the box together as shown. This is the box that will go on the inside of the bag
Step 5- Cut a piece of pattern paper to 6 x 10. Add scor tape to the bottom edge of the paper
Step 6- Remove the backing from the scor tape and add the box to the center of the paper

Step 13 - I die cut 1 large and 2 small flowers from the dies. I stamped in Yellow and Pink inks to make the flowers. Add the Sparklets onto the flower centers.

Scor-pal and Heartfelt Creations with Jennie Harper

Hi Scor-Pal fans!  It's Jennie and I wanted to share a project I created for our Heartfelt Creations ~ Scor-Pal Blog Week. Using a Scor-Pal, I created a Joy Fold Card using Beate Johns tutorial.
Supplies:
Stamps: Heartfelt Creations ~ Bold Vintage Flore
Dies: Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret Die
Cardstock: Gina K. Designs
Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee Portfolio
Pearls: Want2Scrap
Adhesive: Scor-Tape
Scissors

Score a 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" piece of card stock at 5 1/2".
Adhere a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of designer paper to the inside of the card.
Adhere a 2 3/4" x 4" piece of patterned paper to the front of Joy Fold card.
Score a 3" x 8" piece of cardstock at 4 inches. Stamp the Heartfelt Creations ~ Bold Vintage Flore image and sentiments onto 2 3/4" x 4" pieces of patterned paper. Adhere them to the inside and outside of your smaller folded card stock piece.
Apply Scor-Tape to the back of smaller flap and adhere to the inside of the card.

I finished the card by adding some dimension with the gorgeous coordinates Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret Die dies.
This is very easy to do and hope you will give it a try soon!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

Scor-Pal and Heartfelt Creations with Virginia Nebel

Summer Greetings! When I heard that Heartfelt Creations and Scor-pal were teaming up I shouted a huge WOOT!   I am a die cut girl at heart so choosing a die set from the plethora of beautiful products at Heartfelt Creation's website was a huge challenge!  After many clicks and refreshes of my computer screen I chose the Perfect Medley leaves and the matching Perfect Petals die cut set.

I love the simplicity of the pretty petals yet they are so versatile to create other shapes.  My mind went right to the feather motif using some of the larger petals.

Card Supplies: Heartfelt Creations, Scor-pal tool, Echo Park pattern papers, Maya Road pin, Twinery twine.

To transform a pretty petal into a feather diecut a petal from kraft card stock.  Make score lines down the center and at angles with the Scor-pal tool.  It's nature so you don't have to be perfect with the scoring.

With scissors, cut random slits around the edge and you have just created a feather.  These would also be great palm leaves if you were to use green card stock.

Another motif from nature I love is the butterfly which I made from a few smaller sized petals.

Card Supplies: Heartfelt Creations, Scor-Tape, Crate Paper trims

Here's how I made the butterfly:

Stamped and cut out 2 petals each from the 2nd and 3rd smallest petals (these are the butterfly wings).  Apply some scor-pal tape to white cardstock and cut out the smallest petal (this is the butterfly's body)

Peel away the tape liner to expose the sticky surface and place the wings on the body.

After the wings are on the body, pour glitter over the remaining exposed sticker surface.  Decorate the body with  jewel brad and some twine.

Hope you enjoyed some fresh news ways to transform petals into other pretty shapes.
Have a wonderful day! Virginia
